Quality Assurance

Licensed YouthBuild programs adhere to program design and performance standards that support consistent, high quality programs and outcomes. These core standards are developed nationally through a collaborative process that engages young people, local implementing NGOs, the licensed national YouthBuild intermediary, and YouthBuild International. This process ensures that the quality assurance tools are culturally appropriate, locally relevant, and responsive to national priorities and conditions. Outcomes are collected across the international network and feed into YBI’s global monitoring and evaluation system.

Quality Assurance elements include:

  • Local programs with autonomy for adaptation, innovation, and problem-solving
  • Broad stakeholder involvement in standard setting, including young people, program operators, employers, and employment and training systems
  • International data collection systems
  • Data collection and analysis to track local performance and national trends
  • Data analysis guides technical assistance services
  • Facilitation of peer learning communities
  • Demonstration projects to test innovations
  • Licensing and Affiliation agreements
  • Accreditation protocol
  • Internal and External research and evaluation
